Below are a few of our most frequently asked questions. If you haven’t found the answer you’re looking for here, we are always happy to assist you. Just scroll to the bottom and hit the call button to speak with a live representative.

How much does it cost to mount waterfowl?

We have a starting price of $475 per bird for 2026. However, prices do vary based on size and species of each specimen. That being said, Geese start at just over $1000 to mount. If your waterfowl specimen has extensive shot damage to repair, or if your project requires extra work to be done on habitat or driftwood etc., the price goes up at a rate of $75/hour. We offer payment options through Zelle and CashApp to help.

How much is it to mount a turkey?

We have a starting price for turkey mounts of $1075 for 2026. From there, the price goes up based on the amount of time and materials involved with your project. For example: Strutting mounts with extensive habitat tend to cost more, whereas standing mounts on an artificial branch are more cost effective, because there is minimal work to be done to the artificial branch. We offer payment options through Zelle and CashApp to help.

Why do you have a starting price and then go up from there?

We have a basic starting point for each mount. The starting point is determined by time and materials on each project and also quality of the specimen. Like anyone else, we deserve to get paid for overtime. If your specimen has extensive shot damage or if your project requires more time and materials and detail, then the prices go up at a rate of $75/hour. We offer payment options through Zelle and CashApp to help.

How should I preserve my turkey or waterfowl for the freezer?

We recommend using the Tagged and Bagged system to preserve your trophy birds in the freezer. They have different sizes to accommodate whatever type bird you’re preserving. Click the link to order yours. It’s always good to have a few on hand, because you never know when you’ll harvest that trophy of a lifetime. Never ever use a big store grocery bag! Freezer Burn will ruin your trophy!

How long is your turnaround time?

We are proud to boast of our rapid turnaround times. Unlike most other taxidermists where you drop off your birds and never hear back from them in a year or two, we take in a very limited amount of birds in each season and we like to have them finished and back to you before the next season. We do have clients that hold birds for us to work on in the slow summer months. Let us know how we can accommodate you.

How does billing and payment work?

We sign a contract with every client, and all work is paid for in advance. We require a deposit when the specimen is dropped off, which is usually half of the project cost. After your bird or birds are skinned, the head and feet are painted, the habitat is complete, and the bird is ready to be put together we request the final draw payment from the work order.
